China building very large radio telescope

Came across this article on the building of what will be a huge 500m diameter radio telescope, (Arecibo is 305m diameter). Not sure if this has been posted here before, Mark

It was on ABC news earlier this week, the crux of the news report was that 10,000 residents living in area have been told to move on.
