Replacement EP Thumbscrew for a Nagler

Hi, I bought a second hand EP that was missing a locking thumbscrew (9mm TV Nagler). I want to sell it, but feel bad about it arriving without the screw (the seller did not disclose to me ). It is an M5 0.8 thread. Needs to be 11mm to 20mm or so. It should have a flat end, and a largeish thumb grip 7mm-11mm or so diameter.

Anyone know where I should look online (or in Brisbane).

Thanks,
Tony

If you cannot find one I have a collection of various wee knurled knobs one of which will probably have the right thread\length etc. Or I can modify it on the lathe to length if necessary.
Let me know if I can help ...

Assuming that you are referring to the type 1 9mm then you must mean the screw that sits in the 2" skirt and locks to the outside of an 1 1/4" holder. In my view this is a useless part that still sits in the box. I even machined this part of the 2" skirt off my type 1 so the eyepiece can sit better in the 1 1/4 holder. I would not worry about selling it without the screw as I doubt anyone will use it and its absence will not diminish the value.

Thanks

OK, thanks for the tips. The little pamphlett is most adamant that it is important to use when in an 1 1/4 holder. But point taken.

Also, to the NZ offer. Thanks I will see how I go, but in light of the above probably not to worry.

Cheers.

Try Bintel in Sydney, I've bought a number of the genuine TV screws over the years from them.

Bintel $6

Nice solution. Thanks. They rummaged around for a few minutes but found they had one (and only one).

Cheers for suggestions.
