My best of 2015

My best 3 images from 2015. Not a huge amount of imaging time due to the clouds but still happy with the results. My most recent image was the Sculptor Galaxy, so things are slowly improving (always a plus in this hobby ).

Top on my list for 2016 is: shooting at much lower ISO's, dithering and a never ending dance with true polar alignment

Bring on 2016
Cheers, Evan

All the best for 2016.

Great work Evan. All of those look superb. What ISO do you normally use? I'd imagine 800 or 1600 is probably the sweet spot for the 600D.
Cheers,
Cam

Hi Cam, initially when starting out many of my images were shot at ISO 6400. Like you mentioned my last effort (NGC 253) was taken at ISO 800 with 10min exposure time. Significantly less noise and much happier with the final result!

Cheers, Evan

Nice results; your this year's results will obviously improve with the lower ISOs you'll be using. 253 looks great; the haziness gives it a 3D look.

Great shooting Evan, your LX200 is working well and the 600D (un-cooled I presume) is noise free as well.

A great record of your travels through the Universe.

Cheers

Thanks Bill, yep it's un-modded. I thought about having the filter removed at one stage however I use it occasionally for other stuff. I have been keeping an eye on the latest cooled ZWO's as a future possibility (still within my price range ).
