47 Tuc (NGC104)

Waiting for the Sculptor galaxy to creep above my trees in the East on Sunday night, thought I would shoot some frames of old 47 Tuc.
Subs were 30 secs, 120 secs, and 300 secs along with associated darks. Next time I will keep the groups separated and try to use HDR to increase the dynamic range.

Good job Bruce. I've always found it hard to get an impressive image of 47, which is strange, when it is so impressive visually.

That's a beauty Bruce

Globs are difficult targets because of the range of brightness between the core and the outer stragglers.

Nice detail, Bruce. I'd be trying to bring out a bit more colour next.

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Sil, Aidan, Raymo, Dunk, and Rick.
Yes Globs are a handful with the dynamic range. I will reprocess and see if I can work out how to do HDR in Photoshop CC or perhaps another application.
Should come together a bit better by stacking the different length subs separately. I will try to boost the colour as well.
