35mm film scanner?

Guys,
starting to tyre of not having access to my negatives, used to be easy to get prints done but not anymore. I'm thinking of scanning , but which one? don't have 2k to spend, perhaps pay to have them scanned? thoughts? (I have a lot of negatives....)

Hi Roger,

I have an Epson V700 or V750 (I can't remember), it's downstairs in the garage at the moment.

A couple of years back, a work colleague gave me a project to do which included scanning thousands of negatives. It took me quite a while to do, but, my goodness, what an awesome project it was. I got to look through someone's life; memories of migrating from England in the 50s and settling in Tasmania. Some absolutely beautiful images.

In the end, he gave me a JB Hi-Fi voucher worth several hundred dollars for my efforts.

How many do you reckon you have to scan?

They came out awesome. Luckily, he only wanted them as small JPGs and didn't require any clean-up, other than the automatic correction applied during the scanning process.
