Fickering screen

Recently I've noticed my display flicker when I move from the IIS menu to the forum list. It started about a week or two ago and only happens in IIS. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to correct it?
Geoff

Yep, It's been happening to me too for over a week. (only in IIS). I get it if I run my mouse over the white words under 'ice in space site menu too quick (top left of every page.)

I don't get it at all..

Did it start happening when the IISis2 comp was launched?

I'm glad you started this post as I have been getting this flickering too.

I had just assumed that my computer was going bad...I don't see any correlation between activities (motion area of screen etc.) but, I do see that it only happens on IIS...

Correct Mike

So, when I run my cursor up and down the Site menu list - I get a flickering effect.

Cheers Petra

It also seems to be speed related too Mike. If I slide my mouse slowly, nothing happens, do it quickly and my screen does the jitterbug. I've also noticed that little MS timer appears beside my mouse curser when I pass it over the "home" and "project and article" links but none of the others.

I've been playing and can confirm...the triggers are cursor over the site menu list with some speed...slower less flicker...faster more flicker...

Good Luck!

Those that are getting the flicker, what type of monitor are you using? I'm using a CRT and I don't get it. Maybe it is only on certain types of monitors.

Or maybe an IE thing. I use Firefox and have none of the problems any of you mention.

It only happens when the IIS home page comes up, it flickers 3 or 4 times and that is it, no more. Once I switch to the forum it doesn't happen.

Correction, running the cursor up the side menu on the forum page makes it flicker, once, as well.

I get it too

Only when I pass my mouse pointer over the Site Menu at upper left.

I'm using IE on my laptop LCD and don't get it

I'll speak to Terry today, I imagine it's something to do with the animated balloon gif for the IISis2 competition.

Clear as a bell here (another Firefox user).

So I fired up IE. Sure enough, blinking screen.
