Looks What's Coming ....!!! Maybe

Explore Scientific 165mm APO ....

Explore Scientific had a rather large refractor sitting upon it's case on the floor in the middle of their display area.

It was a 165mm triplet in a carbon fiber tube.

Apparently F7 (1155mm), Air spaced FPL-53

Will it land on our shores.....

Price .... unknown ...

Sure it will land here - just buy it directly from the manufacturer, Northgroup in China, avoiding the middleman and end seller, and saving considerable $$$. I know 2 guys that recently imported a 127ED each directly.

You don't get the ES QC, guarantee/support, nor the ES decal, but I have also heard that NG customer service for direct sales is quite good.

Geeebusss! The 152mm is already $6000US. Doesn't even have a FPL-51 center element. Just a cheaper glass type that's similar. FCD1 type glass I think. If this thing with FPL-53 glass is less then $15000US I'll be amazed.
