A few more dark sky Nightscapes

G'day everyone.

I got lured out of the house over the weekend by the amazing clear nights so I took the chance to capture a few shots of the beautiful skies over the Darling Downs.

This first image is a 14 shot panorama captured from in the middle of a cotton paddock. You can see my house which is in the group of trees just under the Milky Way core.

On right can be seen a faint band of zodiacal light, and on the left the very faint gegenschein.

See larger here,

Stunning Skies.

A bit latter on I when down the road a bit to a dam and was just in time to catch the moon rise over the water.

Moon Rise.

And then last night as I was feeling a bit greedy I took a scoop of the whole sky in my first 360 panorama.

The atmospheric Lens.

Hope you enjoy looking at them, any feedback on improvements is appreciated.

Camera, Sony A5100. Samyang 12 f2 lens. 30 second shots at ISO 2500 and 3200.

Edited in Aperture and stitched together in Hugin.

Cheers
Jo

You live in such a great location.

How are you finding the Sony?

Thank you Ross, I am really enjoying the Sony. It isn't the most ideal camera for this type of thing but I got it for a project I am working on at the moment where it's small size and light weight are needed.
