Not sure what was going on here, have two shots before this, checked lens for dirt spots/smudges but could find none. Canon 6D, Samyang 14mm @ f/2.8, ISO 3200, 30 sec. Note the star at the top is close to behind the photographers perspective as the 14mm on a full frame is 8.7mm equiv on APS-C so despite looking SSE the star at the top is likely North of Zenth. Woodbridge, Tasmania. 2256hrs 22 January, 2015.
It is actually Sirius, the brightest star in our skies. Likely the lens flare is due to it's proximity to the edge of the lens. Never had this issue before but it is possible that in previous shots it just hasn't happened to be at that position in the lens field of view.
I've seen an issue that looks similar but may or may not be related. Sometimes on bright stars there are two lines like your photograph and they rotate with the eyepiece but appear with all eyepieces. I suspect it is internal reflection.
