Lagoon Nebula in false false colour

Science vs Art! (Or Art vs Science for those of you who know the band!)
My unusual interpretation of the lagoon
Ha = R (7 hours, 30 minute subs)
R = G
G = B
B = G (4 hours of each w 10 min subs)
Tried other colour combinations, and was not happy.

Fullsize

Hope you enjoy!

My only complaint would be the stars but other than that I quite like it.

Agree with the stars. They're burnt. Having said that the data is superb. You need to check your histogram and make sure you are not clipping the stars. Likely to be the Ha.

Dear Marc and Hobbit (which one in particular?)

Thanks for the comments and feedback.

How can this be avoided.

Is the term Blooming appropriate here? And if so, how is that avoided?

When I get home I will upload the full set of data

Star cores and nebula core are blown. You need to dial down the exposure or brightness.

The data captured is really excellent so it's well worth your while spending a little more time on the processing.
