Don't know how much you use a Telrad until it's broken!

I broke my Telrad's combining glass last week while cleaning it . I've been out with my dob twice since then and it's been an exercise in frustration! Normally the Telrad gets me close to an object, then I use the RACI finder to point me to exactly where I need to be - it's like having 2 levels of zoom :-) But without the Telrad, I find it takes a lot longer to locate an object of interest. The new combining glass (& 2 inch riser :-) I've ordered from Adelaide can't get here quickly enough

It was the outside bit of glass - the so called 'combining' glass. I haven't yet tracked down a glazier to cut me a few pieces of glass for spares - that's next
