Is the astro guy still in business? Tried ringing and messaging, no luck. The site still has a photography comp from some years ago, but active sales through paypal/credit card. Just need to make contact.
Has a skywatcher 8inch black diamond flextube for $449 or 500 delivered australia wide. Hard to beat that. Thatll be my first scope after much deliberation and discussion with mrs.
I did a search but can't find it now, but I'm sure some of the members in Perth (that's where Astro Guy is located) said they can't find him any more either, and that was a while back.
I went to his address in Perth and it is just an office (I think something to do with commercial property). He wasn't there and I was told to ring him later.
I spoke with Shane back in August and he said that the prices on his website were not valid as he had not updated it in a long time. He had just got himself a JOB and he was not able to devote as much time to the astronomy site. He was going to get back to me with a quote for what I wanted... still waiting
I have dealt with Shane on a few occasions a number of years ago. He was running the astro business as a sideline and was mainly into realestate I believe.
I visited him in his Perth office when I purchased a couple of E.P.'s and he was easy to deal with. I also bought my NEQ6 PRO mount from him at a very good price.
I hope he is still active as he provides some very competitive prices for us Perth guys...........trust me.
