I lived in Tassie for two years 84-85 and one of the great things about the Island State is you don't have to travel far to get out in the wilds…..to quote from The Life of Brian…you lucky lucky *$&#$^

Enjoy the P and Q

Hoping to do the same in about 10 l…o…n…g years

Congratulations. If I won Lotto, I'd be there in a flash. Until then it's near work I stay.

Hobart isn't really "bush" though, even if you could be in the bush in under 30 minutes from anywhere in the city. Whereabouts in Hobart are you?

Makes sense now. There are some lovely areas only 20 minutes out: towards South Arm, around Richmond, between Taroona and Kingston .... Come to think of it, with the "new" mountain bypass road, even Huonville is only ~25 mins away.

Problem is Richmond and South arm are dry as hell. South of Kingston wet as hell, Kingston Light polluted. I'm N.W. behind Mt Wellington Park. Very pretty country and quite isolated. Yippeeee
