Ngc 2090

Trying to push what might be possible with my Atik 383L+ from the suburbs. Here's NGC 2090, LRGB 180:30:30:30 (RGB binned 2x2). I've stretched more out of this than is reasonable I think.

This galaxy is 5'x2', Mag 11.8 in total. So only a small faint thing to be going after really. But it never ceases to amaze me just how many little galaxies there are this size. It would take a lifetime to image them all.

Looks rather brutally smoothed and the background is too black. Don't be afraid of noise - real data has it.

Cheers,
