The whole system works great until the drop out. There are no setting that I can locate that might cause this in Sky Safari or the Nexus. Serge (Astro Devices) is looking at it. I've had Wifi Analyser running and watching the signal and there is never a drop in strength nor any other signal that comes over the top of it. I put Sky Safari on a completely different tablet and the same thing happen with it - so there is no tablet hardware issues that can be identified.
A Google search fails to find anything related.
ANy ideas out there?
PS I have emailed Sky Safari (Southern) for support and Serge is trying to help. Surely there is someone else running this configuration.

Hi, I had this problem at first too. I was using a 9v battery power at first. You know the one that goes in the back of the Wifi unit. I switched to a 12v 20ah battery and use the power cable that connects at the front and the problem went away. Simple for me.
Also, certain devices have more success than others. For instance my Nexus 4 phone will rarely connect at all. Yet my nexus 7 tablet connects almost instantaneously.
