A couple of nights ago I headed up the coast to catch Venus and Luna sinking into the ocean. I was hoping for an unobstructed view to capture their merged trails reflected in the sea. Fluffy clouds marred the show somewhat..
That's awesome. I reckon it looks better with the clouds as it gives you the depth and perspective. If it had been clear it would have been a flat shot.

Thanks Marc. You're probably right, although I would have liked a cleaner view of the merged trails. Some other shots show the trails nicely, but the cloud config is messier. And I can't make myself merge the best bits

Thanks Mike. I wouldn't feel dirty, I just wouldn't have an emotional attachment to the image anymore. I've tried it before and it doesn't work for me..
Go on, post the merged one for us; you can forget all about it once it's posted.

I'll meet you half way mate Imagine the bottom ocean part attached to the original sky. My plan was a timelapse showing the inner orange Moon trail diminishing and Venus trail brightening as they set. But clouds put paid to that. All part of the fun..
Love it. Inspiring stuff!
The colours of the moon and reflection in the 2nd one are particularly nice, but the milky way and clouds look great in the first. Too hard to pick
