Welcome to ChrisG

I invited a friend of mine here that I have known through other forums and e-mail for a few years now. Like me, he lives in the USA in Michigan, but we live on opposite sides of the state. His name is Chris.

Chris and I have belonged to a forum together, and I mentioned to him today what a great bunch of guys there were here at IceInSpace. Knowing that Chris is the smart kind of guy who likes to check things out for himself, I noticed that he did sign up here today, but hasn't posted yet. Probably trying to get a feel for the place. Like I said, he hasn't posted yet, but I'm sure he will.

Chris has been in the astronomy hobby for many years. He has probably sold more telescopes over the years than anyone else I know.... by a longshot. (I think he always has one for sale - lol) He seems to be getting a nice collection of Stellarvue refractors these days. (He's a refractor kind of guy) but has owned some bigger dobs too.

Chris doesn't always post often, but when he does you can be sure he knows from experience what he is talking about. By the way.... he also has a great (and sometimes slightly twisted) sence of humor... so I know he will fit in great with this group of folks. (Not saying you guys have a totally twisted sence of humor or anything. It's just a kind of twisted.... well ... maybe warped is a better word? Umm... Off the wall? umm... wild? umm.... different? umm.... ) Anyway.... that's why I like it here - lol! I'm sure Chris will too.

Thanks Gary for the invite and the Welcome.

Thanks to everyone else for the warm welcome I'm looking forward to being here. Like Gary said, we both live in the cloudiest state in the US so we're somewhat experts on cloud formations. We both also enjoy woodworking but Gary's in a league all his own and I'm not worthy of carrying his tool belt!

I did already make one post about an APO for imaging, of course I recommended a Stellarvue. What? I've had great luck with the 6 of them I've had!

Also as Gary mentioned I've been through a few scopes and just happen to have one for sale.....

Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Chris
