Meade Lx600

Just got a new Meade 10" LX600 this week - have set it up in the observatory. A heavy scope - needed two people to lift in position. Impressive scope. Waiting for clear night. Anyone else in Australia got one yet?

Hi Peter, Yes got it thru Astro Optical in Sydney. Seems to be an improved model of the Lx200. I had a Lx90 before this new one. Been cloudy here so have only had a brief look thru it at moon the other night before cloud set in again.

Fantastic looking scope and the split forks look like a great idea to aid portability. I have sen through Mozzies 14, and the optics are superb. Looking forward to your report after some decent nights!
