Old Church

Well here is another one :-)

This is the moral to the story, really.
Went shooting Mount Banks on Saturday, and didnt really get anything useful for a number of reasons, so I headed out to my Parents at Oberon to try and jag some reflections of the milky way off Lake Oberon and by the time I got there it had clouded up and was windy. (not to mention that the newby in me actually forgo tot refocus the camera, but that is another story)

I called it a night early and headed home and went zipping past this old church thinking, hmm maybe I should stop. nah bugger it.

5 mins down the road I changed my mind and went back, and I am certainly glad that I did.

It just shows that out of a failed night, you can get something good if you persist!

That is very beautiful, Andrew.
For me, there's something extra magical seeing the milky way rise over buildings such as churches, and spooky looking places like decrepit old farm houses are even better. Adds a bit of mystery for me! And I just don't see enough of those shots. Hardly any in fact.

:-) Thanks.

I will take another shot of this building from the other side, should give me the bright part of the milky way.
