Plato and Surrounds - 5 Jan

Here's some Last Quarter Moon data from my last outing earlier this month. Imaged at f10 with Meade ND 96 filter.

Composite of three avis taken over 5 minutes around 6am AEST. Thanks for looking.

Very nice images Seb! The shadows on Plato's floor never cease to amaze me. Was it imaged with your DFK21? The contrasts are not very strong. Was it imaged before dark?

Yes the DFK, 15 minutes after sunrise. Pretty happy I was able to resolve craterlets on Plato's floor, seeing was quite good that morning.

I am about to post couple more mosaics from 5 Jan.

Cheers
Seb

Thanks Sebbie.

Early morning Moon imaging is great as the atmosphere tends to be more settled.
