Canon EF 24mm f/2.8
Bought this on ebay a few months ago because I had sold all my L lenses and wanted something cheap to stick on the camera. Haven't made much use of it and today I bought a Tamron 17-50mm here so the 24mm is redundant.
The lens has one issue. The previous owner dropped it and the UV filter ring got bent slightly and won't come off. Could possibly be forced but I reckon this might do more harm than good.
The lens and the filter are clean and in full working order. Performance was exactly what I expected from a non-L lens in terms of focussing speed, etc. I took a few shots when I got it to check for obvious image defects that would have indicated damage from the drop but there were none. I haven't tested it extensively so I can't guarantee it's perfect.
Would probably be good for some wide field astrophotography.
I paid $150 for it so that's the kind of figure I'm looking for. When the Tamron arrives I'll be able to take pictures of it!
Regards
Morton
