Meade LX200 GPS on Pier.

Hi All,
Had a great night viewing last night. Saturn was super.
I had a chance of takeing a few shots of my rig on the pier.

You just need a wedge now and you will be in astro heaven. Good Stuff, great shots, love to see the Lx200 on piers.

1 question......is the dew shield enough weight to counter balance the 2" set up?

Tony if you look closely at the poor Ep(Ving ) pic. You will see a small weight hanging of the back tube handle.
This is about 300grams. This as well as the 2 inch set, balance the scope with the Astrozap just nicely

No plans for a wedge Paul, I'm not into imageing, so Alt/Az is the way to go for me.

Scope is coming off the market Geoff(see my pm )
Geoff I could not get the RTGUI talking to the scope!! Not sure why. CDC still worked with it ok
