Thanks all. We're away at the moment and I just checked IIS.
The birthday day trip was a drive down to Mum's birthplace at Hill End. Grandfather was principal at the school in the 1920s. It's a lovely school but now down to 6 pupils and in danger of being closed next year. Then lunch at the pub - simple but very good.
Lots more wineries here in Mudgee before we head home, and depending on the weather I might try getting to Mudgee Observatory tonight.

Thanks Ron.

Today's disaster was Heather damaging her ankle stepping off the gutter outside Gulgong Museum to get in the car. Gulgong hospital is closed but they have a health centre staffed with nurses. They don't think anything is broken and have strapped it up. I wish Sydney emergency departments were that efficient and easy to work with.

On the winery crawl after that I've been getting wines to taste and taking them out to the car for her to try.

So that's no Mudgee Obs trip tonight. Home tomorrow in time for her to go to the doc if necessary.
