47 TUC - almost

Thought I had this one reasonably nailed unit I saw some other ones and realised it was only about 70 percent of it all. Rats! Then I tried my first download to Astrobin and discovered the need for a png file format instead of the tiff I work with. Decided to shrink it to about 8 meg so you could look at a larger version and curiously couldn't see much difference between it and the 58 meg tiff file. Must be something with the windows viewer limiting resolution.
It's a little rough but I love all the stars.

The 8 meg file is here … http://astrob.in/full/20020/

Cheers
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Great image !! Stars color is very nice as it is your processing, you avoid to burn out the core of the cluster.

Great job,

Fernando

Hi Stephen,

I agree with Fernando, well done on the processing in the core.

Cheers,

Justin.

Nice image.

TIFF is a multi-layer bitmap, i.e. zero compression - work with TIFFs but forget about sharing them. PNG compresses the colour space and is a single layer. JPEG is a single layer and compresses both frequency information and colour (I believe).

Cheers,
Cam
