2012-09-02: Some High Resolution Images

Hello,
Despite a very unstable seeing I got this high resolutions images during the weekend. Lots to process yet.
The images show some small flares and large prominences. I included a low resolution full disc to shoe where the features in HR are on the sun disc.

Thanks for looking

Fernando

Seeing may have been unstable but those Prom shots have lots of detail. A great set Fernando.

I think image 2 (soft look but loads of detail) and the arrow head prom are fantastic - congratulations on a super series!

I love Sun pics and these are very good. Well done.
Also like that the Sun looks like a 70's shag pile carpet close up :-)

Thank you and yes Trevor, you are right the magnectic carpet of the Sun actually looks like a shag pile carpet.

Thank you Matt. The arrow head prom image shows very well the part of the prom that is still laying on the Sun's disc.
Interesting is that I noted this only when I looked through the telescope. Then I put the camera and adjusted the gamma properly to bring out this nice detail.

Thank you very much Derek. There are some details on the proms, but could be better if the seeing was more stable. My average of good frames
in these images was only 5% of the total.
