Hi all

It's with great pleasure that I announce and welcome Al Sheehan (sheeny) as a new moderator on IceInSpace.

This announcement was coming shortly, but mozzie beat me to the punch so now is just fine

Al has been a member for a very long time, and during that time he's shown himself to be level-headed, not quick to anger or get frustrated or upset, and is always willing to help other members out.

From getting to know Al at a number of the IISAC events, he's also an incredibly nice guy, very friendly and genuine and is not afraid to roll his sleeves up and get stuck in to help. He has been an enormous help at almost every IISAC event - something I'm very grateful for (except for that one year where he wimped out with a terrible flu ).

He also has the interests of IceInSpace at heart and wants to see the community prosper and grow.

He also has experience moderating forums as part of his other hobbies, so he knows what he's in for

All of those traits make Al a perfect choice for moderator at IceInSpace and I would like to personally welcome him aboard and thank him for his continuing commitment to IceInSpace and the community.

I don't think he's had the chance to get his hands dirty yet so go easy on him as he eases his way into it
