Well today I took my first webcam images of the moon, note this is a daytime image I still need to adjust the setting on the webcam Agent V5 (home modification, by removing the focus lens). The result is a prime focus mosaic of 5 AVI captures stacked to form stills and then photo-merged in CS5. You can tell that the AVI's were taken at different resolutions by the graining along the dark edge, I'll know better for next time.

Reason: new picture
hi steve,
how difficult is it to get the stitching to work? I have never tried it but have always thought about it for deep sky situation (I'm a long way from there yet).
Hi Russ,
I was no problem at all the original images where exported as BMP. files. I simply opened them up and did a photo merge in PS CS5. I can see now that I could have had conflict given the different resolutions but I didn't encounter any. I did no further editing other then a small crop from the edges. Way to simple. From my limited experience stitching tends to work well with this kind of broad detail. Give it a shot.
