ED100 information

I am trying to find out the outside diameter of the dewshield of an ED100. A fellow IIS'er wants a light box to fit one of these and he has given me a measurement that is smaller than that of my ED80. He has paid for the light box and I want to make a start on it, but cant do so until I get this measurement exactly. He is I think away and not responding to PM's. So if anyone can be of assistance, it would be much appreciated.

Hi,

My SW ED 100 is 117.1 mm there. It is a gold-tube, but I assume the BDs would be the same.

Cheers

Yep my Saxon ED80's dew shield is 117.1mm as well , I was of the understanding that both the ed80 and ed100 had the same lense cell , ( with the ed80's machined smaller inside for the 80mm lenses ), thats why the ed80 has the same sized tube eg. 100mm as the ed100? a little cost cutting measure that does not bother me at all . . The proof is in the beautiful images it gives ..
Brian .
