New Toy arrived today!

Hey all,

Got my first Star Disc as a few people have suggested on here!

That planisphere should get you started, Matt.

As mentioned a couple of times, grab yourself Skymaps and download Stellarium or Cartes du Ciel (both free) and start making observation/planning lists.

If you find that software isn't doing it for you, then, the next step up is to TheSkyX or Starry Night Pro Plus 6 (as well as a bunch of others such as SkySafari).

The latter are very feature driven and designed for all the basic stuff, as well as telescope/camera/observatory control.

Hey mate, Thanks!

I have TheSkyX some edition. It came with my scope, used it last night but bit hard to get used to.. I really need to get out somewhere and observe rather then my back yard every night haha.
