Object over Brisbane.. SpaceX Falcon 9?

Just about ten minutes ago I saw a bright satellite looking 'star' moving from zenith towards the south. It was moving around the same speed that the ISS moves.
It then brightened considerably with an orange glow for a few seconds and faded again. Then continued to the south and faded..

Could this have been the FalconX burning an engine? Anyone else see it?

That would have been the Iridium 59 satellite. It was predicted as a -8 mag flare from my position. I expect it would probably have been the same for you too.
I got the info from http://www.heavens-above.com/

It's well worth registering, plug in your co ordinates and then you'll be able to plan ahead for further passes.
