moon 08/20/2011

Some moon shots from this am Nexstar 8SE and DMK 21 camera.Used AVistack to process images and stack them and then reg6 for wavelets.
I like Avistack. All these were processed using automatic processing.Very cool feature

Some fine pictures there Carl. I really like the #6 of Plato and the Alpine Valley -- very nice contrast. Never get tired of seeing that part of the moon.

Very nice Carl, I also agree with using AVIStack too. Much easier to use with similar to better results.

Nice! #5 is my favourite because I'm used to seeing the moon as if it were a 2D disc... but this makes it look 3D!

Thanks guys- I was surprised how well these came out.Seeing was not that great-I think AVIstack did a great job and Registax6 for wavelets was all I used.I have not used the 8 inch scope for a while, but it does produce some nice images.
