4th July Jupiter

Hi all, wasn't going to post this but after trying for Jupiter every night for the last month, this is the best result I've had. Seeing was ranging from zero to 4/10 so I went the mono DMK + G filter rather than the DBK OSC.

It can only get better seeing wise here In Bundaberg QLD (hopefully!).

Thanks for looking.

Still a most respectable effort for the conditions you describe Asi.

Is this with the C11 or the 14, the detail in this image certainly augers well for when you do get to image Jup in better seeing.

Regards
Trevor

Hi Trevor. This was with the C11, as I didn't think it worthwhile to setup the 14".

Thanks.

Pretty good for G in poor seeing. Really hope that you soon get a chance to show what the new scope can do in good conditions. Regards Ray

Thanks Ray, Tom. I setup again this morning, but the seeing was hopeless. Took a few anyway but they went to the great heaven of unprocessed AVI's.

Good detail John. I bit the bullet and I now have a DBK41 and for me, it is serious step up from my Liveview 40D. I am very happy with this new camera.

I totally underestimated dedicated CCD cameras in this instance.
