Hi Guys, any tips on what to do with Dew... by that I mean how to clean the scope, or do you just let it dry out indoors on its own?

Your best bet is to take it a dry area and let it dry by it;s self, it is OK to wipe anything that is not glass, just let the rest happen naturally.

However be aware that if your scope is very cold and wet it will only get worse if you bring it into a warm house.

Maybe take it to a cool place like the shed, or under the veranda, and it will be fine.

I assume they are designed to take a bit of moisture and that they wont get ruined?

I worked in the rugged computer market and very use to IP 67 and components that have no issues with moisture......

fingures crossed the Meades also have some ability to handle moisture...

my two cents
My Meade lives outside with tarps on it, I used the IIS forum to make a dew shield from camping mat at K mart -works well. Only thing I have ever done is wipe the front objective down with one of those cloths you get when you buy new spectacles. Other than that, like Leon said, avoid massive changes in temp
the only reason I wiped it down was I had some trees cut down and the saw dust got everywhere.

Dew got to me too

2 hours after dark and I couldn't see a thing, well, I could but the scope was fogged over. The dew is so bad at the moment that my star atlas is going crinkly - and it's under cover.
I guess the dew control just got bumped to the top of the 'buy next' list.

I bought myself a heat lamp bulb to carefully dry the dew off when the inevitable happens. Works like a charm.
