Wide Field Milky Way

Set up some equipment I had not used for a while,a EQ mount with a dove tail bar and 450D with 10-22 mm lens at 10 mm.I have some small posts in the ground in the garden for tripod to sit on that is polar aligned.

There was a storm near Brisbane last night so some light pollution, also the flights seemed to be in a holding pattern,so ended up with some interesting trails.all at 10 mm.Thanks for looking-this only the second time I have used this lens under the stars.

Nice shots Chris.

It's great to find new uses for old equipment....you've got me thinking.

Ross.

Nice ones Chris.
Thursday night is the busiest night of the week for planes I've found. I live right under the flight path. A hell of a lot of my subs last night had trails through them. 2 of them had 2!!!!

Nice stuff, cool effect with the aircraft. We always seem to see straight lines.
