This is the first time in about 4 months we have travelled to Yarraman and it hasn't rained. We are in Yarraman at the moment mowing and planning where We are going to put the house and observatory ( not necessarily in that order). We do have a small problem in that we have a small muddy area that we will have to solve but that won't interfere with plans.
Quite envious of your location. Another guy off the forum lives at Blackbutt and has an observatory. It's a great location to visit - not too far from Brisbane, but still reasonably dark skies.
It is a great location. Very dark skies. Our land 1.5 acres is on the eastern side of the town about 1k from the cbd with 360 degree views at a 6 degree horizon. Neighbor on 1 side is a grey nomad and rarely home the other neighbor as a interest in photography and astronomy. Our plan is to retire to Yarraman in 5 years.
