Just some feedback from my recent upgrade to a Moonlite focuser for my Meade series 5000 80mm.
The service from Ron is first class & very happy with the upgrade.
I upgraded my LXD55 8"SN to the Moonlite and it has really given my OTA a new lease on life. After that success, I upgraded my Meade 80mm and when it arrived, the flange would not screw on (it was about 1/2mm out).
On discussion with Ron, it became apparent that Meade has 2 versions of the Series 5000 80mm (single speed original and newer dual). I have the original single. A quick email back to Ron and within a week, a new flange turned up and all fitted beautifully.
Just some information for those considering an upgrade and if you do have a Meade series 5000 refractor (older version) just bear this in mind if you do go down that path.
