Other webcams

Hi all,
Im getting curious about webcam astrophoto with my 12" dob. All i hear about are the Phillips ToUcams, but im interested in what other cams are good for astrophoto. Has anyone here tried the Microsoft LifeCam HD? Im interested in these, but im using a 1GHz EEE pc, and apparently the minimum requirement for HD capture is a 1.66 GHz processor. Any suggestions for good webcams that can be controlled by my netbook?
