Tonight at 11 o'clock HRH Liz & myself ventured outside to check the night sky. The Jetstream has been raging here lately and the transparency was shocking. Liz loves to see something move in the sky and quickly spotted a satellite. To my surprise she spotted another satellite coming in the opposite direction. They passed very closely together just near Sirius and continued on their way. HRH was of course doubly excited

as I raced inside to check Heavens Above for details. The two were US129 and Cosmos1812 both spy satellites, one US and 1 soviet. Probably as good as it will get tonight.

Good that Liz is into the sky. It helps us with our hobby when our partners are interested.

Very interesting Phil,
Satellites are certainly interesting,and Heavens Above,is very good for identifying just what it is you have seen.

I saw one of them too

I was outside while cheryl was taking clothes off the line. I told her and she said something like "thats nice dear..."
