Another great night in Paradise

Tonight looks like it is a copy of last night, so some more Deep Sky observing is in the offing.
Last night was a corker, with all the planets observed , except for Pluto, then the Moon which was last cab of the rank.
I also observed Comet 10P Tempel, which though not bright hinted at a brighter Nuculas and just the faint hint of a tail.
Then onto the galaxies with some of the challenges of Les D from AS$T then a few ARP galaxies, some of the brighter Planetary nebula, such as the Ring and Helix nebula Then the Veil neb got a real working over using both the O111 and UHC, with the UHC giving the most pleasing view
I hope to do a few more Arp and Abell galaxies tonight

Sounds good, Ron. I'm more than a tad envious of your clear skies. Have fun!

Hi Liz and David, just come in 00:50 after nearly 6 hours observing
Observed 14 Arp Galaxies, all the planets again except Pluto and lots of other objects
Liz, the Veil is getting better the higher it gets, I am loving the 55mm lens, must get me a 2" UHC filter, has it is a bit of a chore holding the 1.25 filters in front of the eyepiece
Will go out in a little while to have a look at the Moon then pack up for the night.
Comet 10P Tempel is deffinatly getting a bit of a fan tail.
Great nights observing

Woohoo, well done Ron!! The weather has been so lousy right up the east coast so excellent for a clear night!! Yes, 2" filter is a must for you. Hey, did you try the North American Nebula near Deneb? I will have another look this weekend, but was alot fainter, but then I was very quick.
Will check for the comet too!!
