Hi all Mac fans
A few months ago I said how I had bought an old G5 2.0ghz Dual Processor MAC and that the Powersupply died before I could get a Sata Drive for it and install Leopard. Well after some research on the Net I found instructions for rebuilding a G5 Powersupply (cost to buy a depressing $600) using a 550 watt ATX powersupply and I thought it was a long shot but I should give it a try so with a mate we removed the innards from the Powersupply and matched the ATX to the correct cables from the G5 connectors leaving out the 25v rail as there isnt the equivelant in the ATX Powersupply and as far as I could tell this wasn't needed anyway as it only ran a old graphics connector that is obsolete and the little light on the power on button. Well we finished the job today and it worked I now have to get a Sata HDD and I can install Leopard and start using a real computer
