Starry Night

With my new laptop (Acer Aspire 5741) I cant seem to get my old copy of Starry Night to work? Anyone have any ideas - the skies are all breaky uppy.
I do have Stellarium, but like to have both, as both have their good points.

Try reloading it...something might have gone amiss when you loaded it first up.

If that don't work, remove it then set it back up again.

And if that still doesn't work, try CCleaner to remove any remaining registry traces.

Windows loses again.

Thanks Carl and Andrew - tried reloading but no go, ran CCleaner, then reloaded again - all the stars are like little Borg spaceships.
Oh well.

Try running it under "Compatibility Mode". That'll run it like it's under XP/Vista.

Or, goto their support site and ask what's happening. You may need to download an update.

Liz I could not get version 5 pro working either so I dont like your chances of getting version 4 going. Tech at work said something about the program trying to write to parts of the registry that no longer exist. I had to upgrade to version 6 which runs well on win 7.

So v5 doesn't work, either. Looks like it might be a complete version upgrade, Liz.
