It's a tough game

You must have had a night like this. I decided I would spend a while peering in my drainpipe, and wheeled it into position.

The telescope fought me every inch of the way:

flat batteries in the laser
mirror centre spot falls off
flat batteries in the Argo
encoder error on azimuth
printer died when I tried to print a few star charts

Finally, I managed to outsmart the dumb @# piece of metal, glass and plastic. Victory!!

I looked up. Yes, the cloud had rolled in.

*Sigh*

On the bright side, it should all be sorted out for next time.
Don't know about those clouds though!

Had a similar "cloudy" experience last night. I set up the C11 with the Hyperstar, all the cables, polar aligned, all set. I waited until 2:00am. It was supposed to clear about that time. Humidity was so thick you could feel it raining on you like a mist. Went to bed at 3:00am tired and P***d off. Woke up at 7:00am to a blue sky.
