NGC 3576 and 3603 in Carina.

Hi everyone,
Well it`s been sometime since I have posted any images of anything and it gonna take some time to get back in the swing of processing, I have to sit down and really think of my routine with this since it would have been April since I processed any picture .
This image is one of the last I have done before moving to the highlands and was taken in April this year and only did the processing yesterday. I think it took me a good hour of tinkering till I was happy with the results.

Both of these emission nebs make a nice subject in Carina I reckon!
Image is 2hrs of data with the 8" reflector and Canon 20D.
Image came out very smooth even with lots of red channel stretching. Lots of jpg compression to get under 200kb and around 50% crop of the full frame to get it reasonably ok for viewing.

I`m hoping for a Ha filter very soon to give my pictures that extra kick.
I`ve wanted one for ages but only now have a little $$$ to spare.

Comments are most welcome
cheers Gary

A corker to begin wowing us again. Beautiful, Gary.

I really like the sheen you've presented in this image, too.

Well done.

Regards,
Humayun

Very nice result on a challenging subject there Gary - very nice! You've done extremely well to bring out the neb without Ha too. I'd love to see a higher res version!

What?! Only one hour of tinkering??!!! I count my tinkering time in days sometimes

Great to see you imaging again.

Cheers, Marcus

Superb shot Gary. Star colours are really nice and so are the different shades of pink to deep red in the neb. Top work.

That's a great comback image Gary very vibrant and punchy, something a lot of people like. Some may find it a bit too saturated but it looks pretty spectacular as it is.

Nice job

Mike

Nice job

Thanks Mike! I agree with the saturation.....The light is rather bright in this tin shed and looking at the image in the evening I can see all that bright red! I`m not one for super bright colors.
cheers Gary

Thanks Doug! took a bit to show of the fainter bits, but as I remember it was a cold night so was able to push it along a little!
