Elementary Photoshop Tutorial for Deep Sky
Has anyone found a really good tutorial for simple processing of some of the easier deep sky targets? I have looked at a few sites, and nothing yet has really given me what I want. I have PhotoShop 7, and want a basic tutorial on using levels, curves, colours, contrast, sharpening, and whatever else is needed for producing an acceptable image of say the Lagoon nebula. Where do you start, what is used first, how to adjust for contrast etc etc?
I have to say that I can use PS with reasonable competence in terrestrial photography, but only for simple shots. Astro photography is a totally different ball game, and I'm sure that there is a really good tutorial out there somewhere, but I haven't found it yet.
Any pointers please?
