M55
Hi again all
The last of my imaging session from last new moon was a wonderful globular cluster in Sagittarius.
Object: M55 (Sagittarious)
Exposures: 6 minutes x 20 guided
Camera: SXVF-M25c
Telescope: FSQ 106N
Mount: AP600E
Software: AA4 & CS3

I would darken the backround just a tad and ease off on the smoothing/noise reduction and see what it looks like, otherwise it is friggin great mate

That is an exceptional image Louie. I enjoyed scanning it for faint fuzzies, and found what looked like a very faint PN to the left of the cluster, looked too round to be a galaxy and too large to be a faint star.

On the left of M55, at about 10 O'clock there is a line of 3 stars; the first is 25mm from M55 (yellow star) the second is 30mm further out (white star) and the third is 30mm further in almost a straight line (yellow star). The grey round object is a further 25mm from the third star, and down slightly from the line of stars. Its diameter is similar to the bright star above M55.

As Mike said, on my monitor it looks like like the background could be darkened just a tad but then again, could just be my monitor
