Ex-NASA 158mm f6.3 Refractor

Why do I find out about these things too late?
Recently sold at a German auction(Auction Team Breker) for photographic equipment.
http://www.artfact.com/auction-lot/o...1-c-b5814222e3

Description: Omnitar 6,3/1,000 mm Tewe, Berlin (for Birns & Sawyer, USA). No. 15550, more than 4 feet long, with special camera adapter. This giant lens was used by the NASA to document Apollo program rocket starts. Lens hood has dent. With aluminum transport case.

Not a great photo on that page, but has NASA stickers on it for each launch it photographed.
Sold for $700(aussie) including all buyer premiums and taxes!

Edit: Have a printed photograph of it here, will scan it after work and update post.
