eyepiece fungus?

Can eyepieces suffer from fungus in the same way as camera lenses?

Yes they can, from Brisvagas and up there can be real drama with fungus. Direct sunlight and storage with a desicant (sp) can help.

Yes. Always make sure they are dry before capping them for storage.

If mine get dew soaked, i let them dry out overnight before putting them away.

Yes, eyepieces can get fungus, not quite as easily as camera lenses (much less movement to let in air) but more moisture . Like all optical equipment, it must be dry before storage. Something most people do not know, do not leave silica gel with equipment too long. Once it is saturated with moisture, it will re-emit this moisture. Either replace or rejuvenate gel. A toaster oven is good for this.

Or if you are green, even the window ledge on a nice sunny day.
