Adelaide Doppler radar now online.

For those that watch the weather in Adelaide, the new Doppler radar at Buckland Park has now been commisioned into active duty.

Alot more sensitive than other radars it looks different, one thing you will notice is it's finer pixels closer to the radar. It also has a 64km res scale which is perfect for incoming storms or like today, boring rain events.

hey they have 64, 128 and 256k images!!!

I also get the 512km images and 7 frame loops, but you have to be registered to get them

Looks good.

Mackay doesn't even have a full time weather radar! And I think ours is still running on a Commodore 64. With tape drive.
