Just got my HEQ5Pro

Hi all,

I just received my HEQ5Pro which was bought from Lloydscope here on the forum. Wanted to say many thanks for the effort he put in packing it and sending it. Took only 2 days to arrive from Sydney and the item is as new as described.

Do please check his post as he still has an ED100 Pro for sale and you will not find a better person to deal with.

Probably not gonna have time to play with it till the new yr during my break but i will go and get a power supply to test it at home. Can't wait.

Anyone recommends a certain Amps?

The minimum is 2 amps, but better to go with something bigger, around 4 - 5. I use a regulated CB radio type one on mine, rated at 5 amps.

Hi Ncraw,

Power ( P watts) is directly proportional to current (I amps). You'll find that P=IxV so as the amps go up, power capacity increases. So for the supply you are talking about P=4x12 = 48 or around 50Watts. 10 Amp models will be around 120 Watts etc.

Allan Gould has done a review on this mount and describes it as a bit power hungry. Check it out here http://www.iceinspace.com.au/index.p...44,288,0,0,1,0 if you haven't seen it already.

Cheers
