Starstuff Side by side kit

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on starstuff side by side mount kit. I am planning to buy this but not sure if this will be flexible enough to allow the second scope mounted to be used as guidescope.

Thanks in advance.

It works very well. I use it exactly as that- as a guidescope.

Hi Raki,

They are great and very flexible in there use and application. You could well have had one if your offer had been a respectable one.

I recently purchased the side by side mount with the replacement head for my EQ6, and it works fantastically.

I also use it to carry a guidescope, and the whole setup is very sturdy. It's especially easy and quick to balance out the scopes also!

Providing thr head unit on your mount is adequately secured I believe the one without the head gives way more flexability in the positioning of the crossbar and allows for much more adjustment and ability to balance by moving the whole bar and not just the dovetail holders.
